The 2005 Open Juried Exhibition
is the Photomedia Center’s
annual summer show of
engaging and provocative works
by experienced and emerging
photographers. It is open to all
artists worldwide working in any
photographic media—including
collage, digital, traditional,
alternative, and new media. There
is no restriction on subject matter.
Artists may enter up to 10 pieces
by CD or slide, although CDs are
preferred. Entry fee is $5 per
image; early entry is $3 per image
if entry is received by April 30,
2005. Entry fees are waived
entirely for Photomedia Center
members.
Juror: Michael Tkach
Michael Tkach lives in Erie,
Pennsylvania where he teaches
photography at Gannon University
and serves on the board of
directors of the Northwestern
Pennsylvania Artists Association.
Both critic and artist, his
photography has been shown in
national and regional juried
exhibits.
Submissions:
Slides must be labeled on the front with
artist’s name, title, year completed, and
indicate the TOP of the slide. For CDs,
the file formats must be either JPEG or
TIFF only. Please label images as
follows: NAME, TITLE (YEAR). Files
must be no larger than 800 pixels on
the image’s longest side at 72 ppi.
Label the CD with your name.

Entries will not be accepted via email.
A completed application form must be
included with your submission. Return
postage must accompany your entry.
Postmark deadline for entries:
June 18, 2005.
Notification will be sent to entrants no
later than July 23, 2005.
Works selected will be exhibited at the
Photomedia Center, www.
photomediacenter.org, during the
month of August. One artist will be
selected for a solo featured exhibit at
the Photomedia Center later in the year.
Works from the show may be
purchased for the Photomedia Center’s
permanent collection. Accepted works
can be offered for sale during the show.
The gallery will take a 25% commission
on all sales made.
