The 2009 Open Juried Exhibition is Photomedia
Center’s sixth annual show, selected from an
international pool of applicants. Past jurors have
included local luminaries Deb Vahanian, Gary
Cardot, Mike Tkach, and Jeff and Laurie Urraro,
as well as nationally recognized photographers
Anthony LaSala and LaToya Ruby Frazier, this
year’s juror. This marks the third year that
Photomedia Center has partnered with a gallery
space to feature the work offline. No matter its
platform, the exhibit always remains a truly
“open” show, as there are no restrictions on
subject matter, style, or method of photography.
One of the most exciting results each year is the
creativity that leads to the unexpected and the
range of techniques represented.
